My early grounding in life was at the hands of the Royal Navy where I spent a few years fixing all things mechanical on helicopters but mainly my time was well spent simply growing up and getting to travel and meet people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. Once the growing up was done, I joined Hampshire Constabulary.
People remained a constant through my Police life and in my latter years on the force I moved into people development and organisational changes before moving onto the UK College of Policing as the International Liaison Officer for Sub Saharan Africa and the Americas. There, I looked after international clients and also regularly conducted training needs, analysed, developed and delivered a range of training solutions. I worked from the war zones of Somalia and Libya to St Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. When I left the Police, I worked for the current Prime Minister in overhauling and re-developing the Policing, Prison and Criminal Justice Sectors.
I am a Trustee/Non-Executive Director of two Hampshire based charities, a lecturer for Victim Support and have worked for Unicef and UN Women.
I can convert the theoretical and abstract to practical application by providing a range of real life situations to support experiential learning and effective organisational development.
What I do at TMI
With a background in the public sector, people development, international training and organisational change management, I am working on a range of design and delivery projects.
What do I bring to Clients
Having experienced and managed almost constant change throughout my working life and having seen how it effects people, I can convert the theoretical and abstract to practical application by providing a range of real life situations to support experiential learning and effective organisational development.
When I'm not working
I have 3 great young adults I used to call kids and I love family time. I am “a jack of all sports but master of none” and I lease, maintain and manage a fly fishing trout lake in deepest rural Hampshire.
