About Me
My Experience
After University studying Maths and Computers I trained in all things to do with adding up in finance. It got a lot better (thankfully!) when I visited TMI as an auditor and realised that this company did weird and wonderful things to help people and companies perform and behave at their very best.
After auditing many different businesses from fish markets to furnace makers to tube stretchers to locust sellers and the like, I realised helping people was both fascinating and fulfilling. The numbers are very important but the people make them work.
What I do at TMI
I enjoy running our Time Manager™ product sales & distribution for thousands of our growing on-line and loyal customers. Our customer list is so diverse, from teenagers to octogenarians, and includes many household names who use our tools to organise their busy lives.
Financially I aim to create a fine balance with all those debits and credits so that everyone understands what helps us to make money whilst at the same time give excellent service and quality to our customers without compromise. Sometimes that means counting the paperclips and sometimes it means recognising a little patience on expense reports etc.
What do I bring to Clients
I tend not to work directly on client projects but I believe that what TMI does creates lasting benefit above and below the bottom line and I hope that clients will always see the value of what we do through our very open and honest approach. I also aim to ensure all our Time Manager customers receive excellent advice and a fast efficient service for all their refills so they can focus on their goals.
No matter what, I am keen to preserve our integrity and to a large extent this is made easy, because I know that everyone at TMI feels the same.
When I’m not working...
I am definitely at play!. I somehow believe I can still beat my 3 boys at whatever sport they choose but actually it is probably only true when it comes to golf or squash. My wife Cathi runs marathons and puts me to shame when it comes to fitness. I do however have a competitive spirit and will always take on a challenge, be it the 3 peaks (twice!), chess or tiddlywinks!
